Daniel P. Satas, 55, of Hudson, died unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, Jan. 15. He was born April 11, 1953 in Marlboro, son of the late Wallace Satas and survived by his mother Shirley (Comey) Satas of Hudson. He was a graduate of Hudson H.S and Marlboro Vocational School. He worked as a print press operator for several companies during his career including: Digital Equipment Corp. of Northboro; State Mutual 440 Financial Group in West Boylston; Will/Land Printing Corp. in Waltham; B.T. Office Products International of Needham and Fotobeam/Ikon in Waltham. He enjoyed spending his time fishing, camping and skiing with his friends. He especially enjoyed visits with family members.
Besides his mother, Daniel is survived by his daughter, Nancy Oteri and three grandchildren; Michaela, Gabriel and Angel, all of Florida; his former wife, Shirley Oteri of Florida; his sister, Judith LaCroix of Hubbardston; his brother and sister-in-law, John and Cindy Satas of Troy, NH; his aunts and uncles, Edna Riley of Marlboro, Mary and Paul Martel of Hudson, Erma and Walter Comey of Florida and Sandra and Moe Tessier of Woonsocket, RI. He also leaves his nieces, Amy Morrison, Jessica Luoma and Alyssa Satas and nephews, Jason Lacroix and Alden Satas.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, Jan. 20 at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Monday, Jan. 19 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central St. Hudson, MA 01749.
