David N. Babcock, 63, of Berlin, MA, passed away peacefully, on Friday, August 26, 2022, at UMass Medical Center in Worcester, Ma, surrounded by his loving family, after a brief period of declining health. He is survived by his beloved wife of over 22 years, Kathleen B. (Gould) Babcock.
David was born in Marlborough, MA, on April 30, 1959, one of three children of the late Austin S. “Snuffy” and Alice D. (Smith) Greenawalt. He was raised in Bolton and graduated high school from Worcester Trade. He spent most of his life in construction working as a heavy equipment operator and truck driver. He loved his vocation and was passionate about both. David also enjoyed watching Disney animated movies. He was an animal lover as well and especially loved his loyal K9 companion “Carson”.
In addition to his beloved wife, Kathleen B. (Gould) Babcock, David is also survived by three children, Sherri-Lea Cavanagh and her husband Daniel of Leominster, MA, Nicholas R. Babcock and his wife Jennifer of Leominster and Joanna L. Dufault and her husband Ronald, Jr. of Rutland, MA; a brother, Donald C. Babcock of Berlin, MA; a sister, Linda J. Sutton and her husband John of Dudley and his grandchildren, Jonah V. Babcock, Alice M. Dufault, Makenna B. Babcock, Lindsey Cavanagh, Leah Cavanagh and Kaelene Dufault.
Relatives and friends are invited to a period of visitation from 5-7pm on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at TIGHE HAMILTON REGIONAL FUNERAL HOME, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11am, Wednesday, August 31, 2022, in the funeral home; followed by a procession to Eastwood Cemetery in Lancaster for interment.
