David F. Greenwood, 67, of Hudson, died on Saturday, Feb. 18th at his residence in Hudson.
David was born in Marlboro and raised in Hudson, son of the late Joseph and Jeannette (Roberts) Greenwood. He was a life long resident of Hudson and attended Saint Michael's School in Hudson. David was employed by the Commonwealth of Mass., District Courts in Marlboro for a short time and later Ayer for 40 plus years as a building supervisor until retiring in 2011. He was a former member of the Hudson Auxiliary Fire Dept. and a former photographer with the Fire Dept. David was an avid collector of many items of interest to him and most of all model trains which he enjoyed building and erecting for many years.
He is survived by his daughter, Heather Greenwood of Leominster and his son, Robert Greenwood of North Woodstock, NH. He is also survived by his former wife and mother of his two children, Joanne M. (Custeau) Greenwood of Hudson and was the brother of the late Thomas Greenwood.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 22nd at 10:30 a.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Tuesday, Feb. 21st from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
