David R. "Happy" Lyttle, 71 of Lancaster, formerly of Maynard and Waltham, died on Thursday, May 16th at his home surrounded by his loving family after losing his battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Pamela M. (Frye) Lyttle of Lancaster.
David was born and raised in Waltham, son of the late William and Katherine (McPhail) Lyttle. He resided in Maynard for 19 years prior to moving to Lancaster where he has resided the past 12 years. David was employed as a Union Brick Layer out of Waltham for 20 years and later worked as a maintenance Mechanic for Johnson Controls until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, golf and camping in his spare time and always looked forward to the weekly poker game with his friends. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his witty and sharp sense of humor will be cherished by all of them.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Kelly Wozniak and her husband Michael of Lowell, William Lyttle and his wife Pong of Ayer, Cathryn Lyttle of Lancaster and Michael Lyttle and his wife Courtney of Lancaster. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Skyla and Paige Wozniak of Lowell, Cameron Lyttle of Lancaster; his siblings, Paul Agnew of California, Jacqueline Delaney of Grafton, William Lyttle of W. Newton, Kathline Sadowski of Pennsylvania and was the brother of the late Maureen Parks of California.
Family and friends may attend calling hours on Monday, May 20th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 followed by a service and celebration of David's life at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 20th in the funeral home. Burial services will be held at the convenience of the family.
