Hudson, MA
David M. Mega, 46, of Hudson, died Monday, July 25th at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester after a courageous year long battle with cancer. He was born in 1965, the son of Ann (Bissonette) Mega of Hudson and the late Stanley J. Mega.
A 1983 graduate of Hudson High School, he worked for Hudson Light and Power for several years. After a short stay in New Hampshire, he relocated to Atlanta, Georgia where he worked in several pubs and restaurants and later moved to Seattle, Washington where he was a chef at a local restaurant. He was a talented artist and currently has his works on display at Children's Hospital in Boston.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister, Jo-Ann Quigley and her family of New York; his brother, John Mega and his family of Hudson; his sister, Susan DeSocio and her family of Bolton; his sister, Mary Ellen Mega and her family of Shrewsbury and his brother, Steven Mega of South Carolina.
Family and friends may attend calling hours on Thursday, July 28th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749, followed by a funeral service at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Committal services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
