David P. Stanechewski -54, of Hudson, died Sunday, March 9, at UMass Memorial Healthcare in Worcester.
He was the husband of the late Sandra (Brown) Stanechewski who died in 1979.
Born and raised in Hudson, son of the late Joan (Murphy) Stanechewski who died in 1999 and survived by his father Stanley Stanechewski of Hudson.
He was a 1972 graduate of Assabet Valley Regional Vocational H.S. in Marlboro as an automotive technician. He was employed by Lapointe Machine Co. of Hudson as a machinist for many years.
Mr. Stanechewski was a member of the Hudson Eagle's, Hudson Amvets, Hudson V.F.W. and was an avid hunter and sportsman.
Besides his father, he is survived by his children, Kristy and Craig Stanechewski, both of Hudson, Jessica Cormier of Fitchburg and Stacey Yarsulik of Olathe, KS. He is also survived by 3 brothers, Paul Stanechewski of Florida, Stephen Stanechewski of Southboro, Lee Stanechewski of Hudson; 2 sisters, Debra Ryan of Marlboro, Theresa Stanechewski of Framingham; 2 grandchildren, Logen Burgess and Damion Wheeler and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 15, at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michaels Church 21 Manning Street Hudson MA. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held Friday, March 14, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
