David M. Sweeney, 62, of Clinton, died Wednesday, March 1, in Marlborough Hospital. He was married to Carol (Muto) Sweeney for 22 years. Born in Waltham, September 9, 1954, the son of the late William J. and Virginia (Adler) Sweeney, David had formerly lived in Bolton, Dunstable, and Newton. Over the years David, together with his brother Bill, owned and operated New Car Concepts in Westford. David was an avid lover of cars, boats, fishing, and woodworking. He loved spending time with friends and family in Mattapoisett.
In addition to his wife, David is survived by his son, Stephen; his siblings, William Sweeney and his wife, Leslie of Mattapoisett, Paul Sweeney and his wife, Kathe of Hopkinton, Mark Sweeney and his wife, Annette of Mattapoisett, Peggy Snyder of Virginia Beach, VA, and Susie Stalnaker and her husband Chuck, of Salem, OR; and many nieces and nephews. David was predeceased by his sister, Judy McKie.
Calling hours will be held Sunday, March 5 from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. in the Tighe Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson. A funeral service for David will follow in the funeral home at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be private at a later date.
