David Earle “Shakey” Taylor, 69, of Berlin, MA, died on Friday, September 20, 2024, at Holden Rehabilitation in Holden, MA.
David was born in Clinton, MA, son of the late Robert and Madeline (Brodrick) Taylor. He was raised in Berlin attending local schools and was a 1973 graduate of Tahanto Regional H.S. David worked for many years as a truck operator delivering concrete products for EH Perkins Concrete.
David is survived by his brother, Harry Taylor and his wife JoAnn of Texas; two sisters, Cindy Deleo of Clinton, MA, Jennifer Taylor-Butler of Clinton, MA along with his nieces and nephews, Heather Haskins and husband Tyler, Samantha Pellerin and husband Justin and their 2 children, Colin Deleo and wife Allison Daniels and their 3 children, Eric Deleo and wife Briana Smith, Kelly DeLeo and husband Adam Sussman and their son, Brian Taylor and Chelsea Taylor. He is also survived by other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his two brothers, James D. Taylor and Paul A. Taylor.
David or “Shakey” as many of his family and friends fondly called him, enjoyed several hobbies, but riding and doing long trips on his Harley Davidson were always special. Shakey, along with his friends would venture out to their favorite campground in Belmont, NH, close to Laconia, NH frequently as the season permitted. He enjoyed attending NASCAR events in Louden, NH. Horseshoe tournaments and weekly dart matches in Worcester were always a fun pastime he enjoyed. He truly cherished his family and friends who will miss him greatly but will never forget him.
Calling Hours for David will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 11am-1pm, at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA. A Funeral Service will be held immediately following Calling Hours at 1pm on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home; followed by a procession to North Cemetery in Berlin, MA, for Committal Services.
