Dean Napolitano

May 19, 1967 — March 21, 2024

Hudson, MA

Dean Napolitano “Napa”, 56, of Hudson MA passed away in the early hours of Thursday March 21st at Emerson Hospital in Concord with his twin brother by his side following a sudden decline in his health.

Born on May 19, 1967 to Shirley and John Napolitano in Arlington, MA.  Dean was predeceased by his father John Napolitano and brother Mark Napolitano.  He is survived by his wife Kelli, mother Shirley Howard and his step father Wallace Howard, twin brother David (Rebecca), David’s children Kallie (Ryan) and Owen, his sister in law Betsy, his step-mother Maureen, and his other siblings: sisters Lindsey, Marissa and Julie, brother Nathan, step brothers Wally (Corrine) and Louis, step sisters Elaine (John) and Karen.  He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Napa spent his childhood growing up in the Town of Hudson and graduated from Hudson High School in 1985.  Growing up, Dean was always very active participating in anything that was even slightly competitive.  He loved going to the Hudson Boy’s Club with his twin brother and many lifelong friends which was where his love for sports began.  Along with playing, Dean was also New England’s top sports fan and would spend a lot of time talking about his beloved Boston Bruins.

Many friends considered Dean the “Unofficial Mayor of Hudson”. He was known to many as #22.  He had many close friends whom he considered family.  Dean always kept busy, being part of multiple pool, dart, spades and pitch leagues in the area.  He didn’t miss too many “gatherings” and loved hanging out with his “boys”. Napa will always be remembered for the way he loved his family, friends and the Bruins.  He carried himself with humor, loyalty and strength up until the very end.  One thing that we could all agree about Dean was that, “He did it his way”.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday April 13, 2024, starting at 6PM at the Elks Lodge located at 99 Park Street in the Town of Hudson.

In Lieu of flowers, please keep Dean’s legacy alive through a contribution to the Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest – Hudson Clubhouse.  Gifts can be made by visiting www.bgcmetrowest.org/donate or via mail to 169 Pleasant Street, Marlborough, MA 01752.
