Deborah A. (Nichols) Weaver, 40, of Hudson, MA, died Saturday, October 20, 2007 at her residence in Hudson.
She was the wife of the late Thomas Weaver who died in April of 2005.
She was born in Framingham, MA, daughter of Thomas Nichols of Hudson, MA and the late Judith (Alling) Cogswell.
She was a graduate of Hudson H.S., class of 1985. She received her BS degree in Communications and Psychology from Boston University in 1989 and later received her Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from Boston College in 1992. She was a former Forensic Clinical Social Worker for Bridgewater State Hospital/Umass Correctional Health Program from 2003 to 2006, former Social Worker for Taunton State Hospital/ Taunton Secure Care Program, Dept. of Mental Health and Justice Resource Institute from 1994 to 2002. She worked as a Clinician for the Norcap Outpatient Services, a weekly substance abuse group program in Foxboro, MA from 2001 to 2002 and Community Care Services, a family therapy clinic in Taunton, MA from 1998 to 2001. She most recently was employed at Westborough State Hospital in Westborough, MA.
She was a member of the National Society of Social Workers. Deborah enjoyed painting, music and reading.
Besides her father, she leaves her sister, Amy Pereira of Plymouth, MA and her niece and nephews, Rachel and Joshua Pereira of Plymouth, MA and Christopher, Andrew and Daniel Todd of Franklin, MA.
Family and friends may attend calling hours on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. (www.tighehamilton.com) 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. A funeral service will follow at 8.00 p.m. in the funeral home.
All are invited to a memorial service to celebrate the life of Deborah to be held Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Church of the Pilgrimage, Town Square, Plymouth MA.
