Hudson, MA
Diamantino R. Pinto, 94, of Hudson, died on Saturday, May 9th at Marlboro Hospital. He was the beloved husband for 62 years to Maria S. (Costa) Pinto who died in 1998.
Born in Misarella, Portugal, son of the late Antonio Roque Pinto and Rosa Maria (Do Carmo), he worked for the Bayer Mangola Construction Co. of Worcester until his retirement. Before moving to the states he enlisted in the Army of Portugal in 1935 and his trade in Portugal was a Registered Master Horticulturist and Arborist. He was a member of the Hudson Portuguese Club, member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson and member of Our Lady of Fatima Society.
He is survived by his son, retired Hudson Police Officer, Cipriano "Soupy" Pinto of Hudson; his four daughters, Lucia Lampinen and her husband Jack, Maria Rio and her husband Alfred, Alexandrina Cardoso and her husband Domingos, all of Hudson and Irene Teixeira of Naples, FL. He is also survived by his 12 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 13th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 12th, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central St. Hudson, MA 01749
