Diana R. (Simoes) Cummings, 82, of Stow, former longtime resident of Hudson, died on Thursday, April 2nd after a brief illness at UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Memorial Campus in Worcester. She was the beloved wife of 50 years to the late Charles Cummings who died in 2001.
Diana was born and raised in Hudson, daughter of the late Charles and Emilia (Luz) Simoes. She attended local schools and later worked for the former Physician's and Nurses Co. in Hudson for many years. Most recently she worked for Sally's Beauty Supplies Co. in Marlborough until her retirement.
She is survived by her brother, Richard Simoes of Hudson; her sister, Carol Borella of Hudson along with her many loving nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Mabel Moura, Mary Perkins, Antonio Simoes and Florindo Moura.
A memorial mass will be celebrated on Monday April 6th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial services will be held privately in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. There are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of: Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
