Hudson, MA
Dinis "Almada" Chaves, 74, of Hudson, died suddenly, Saturday, July 28, 2007 while returning from Santa Maria, Azores and was pronounced at Logan Airport.
He leaves his wife of 43 years, Ermelinda (Chaves) Chaves of Hudson.
Born in Santa Maria, Azores, he was the son of the late Francisco and Maria (Puim) Chaves.
He was employed as a machine operator for the Entwistle Co. of Hudson until he retired. He was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson and member of the Hudson Portuguese Club.
Besides his wife, he leaves his 2 children; Jose Ernie Chaves and Elsa Panneton, both of Hudson, MA. He is also survived by his 4 sisters, Maria Figueiredo and Ines Costa, both of Hudson, MA, Filomena Figueiredo and Lurdes Batista, both of Ontario, Canada; his 4 brothers, Manuel Chaves of Wareham, MA, Jose Maria Chaves, David Chaves and Joao Chaves, all of Ontario, Canada; his brother in law, Jose Chaves of Santa Maria, Azores and his grandchildren, Sterling and Cassandra Chaves, and Dennis "DJ" and Hunter Panneton.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, August 2, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michaels Church, 21 Manning street Hudson, MA. Family and friends may attend calling hours Wednesday, August 1, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. (www.tighehamilton.com)
