Donna M. Houde, 61, of Highland Plantation, ME, formerly of Marlboro and Hudson, died Tuesday, July 27th at the Fairview General Hospital in Skowhegan, ME.
Donna was born and raised in Marlboro, daughter of the late Severe and Norma (Sherman) Houde. She was a long time resident of Marlboro until moving to Hudson in 1986. She has resided in Highland Plantation, ME since 2004. She attended local schools in Marlboro and was a manager at the former Manny's CafAC. in Marlboro and the Hudson Rod & Gun Club in Hudson. Donna was an active member of the V.F.W in Marlboro and later a member of the V.F.W. in Madison, ME. She was a member of the Hudson Amvets and enjoyed crocheting in her spare time, sharing the many blankets, sweaters and other items she created with family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Kim Drouin of Marlboro, Charlene Pires and her husband John of Hudson, Michael Drouin of Marlboro, Christina Cormier of Clinton, Gregory Cormier of El Salvadore and was predeceased by her son with whom she will be laid to rest next to, William Drouin who died in 1996. She is also survived by her long time companion, Edward Rublesky of Highland Plantation, ME; her step-mother, Pearl Houde of Marlboro; her six siblings, Leslie Porter of Texas, Arline Bennett of New Hampshire, Norma Houde of Florida, Sharon Brunelle of Hudson, Robert Houde of Rhode Island, James Houde of Norton; 11 grandchildren; one great grandchild and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the sister of the late Armand Houde of Georgia.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 31st at 11:00 a.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 30th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
