Dorotha Sue Birch, 71, of Hudson died Thursday, Sept. 25 at her residence. She leaves her life long companion, Donna Dimock of Hudson.
She was born in Spiro, Oklahoma, daughter of the late Henry J. and Jane Ethel (Hiarker) Birch and served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1956. She resided in Ventura, California for a short time before residing in Dover from 1967 to 1986 and has resided in the Metro-West, Hudson area the past 23 years. She was employed as an admitting and registration secretary for New England Baptist Hospital of Boston and Marlboro Hospital for the past 17 years until retiring in 2005. Dorotha Sue was a kind and loving person who especially enjoyed her time as a volunteer for the Medical Reserve Corps, Region 4A of Hudson.
Besides her companion, she was the co-parent of Beth Boelter-Dimock of Boston; her many nieces, nephews and cousins, including, JoAnn and Dean Ferguson of Lexington, Ky, Sarah and Richard Tilden of Tulsa, OK, Barbara and Raymond Reames of Blanchard, ID and Sharon, Russell, Garrett and Courtney Hamm of Lexington, KY.
A celebration of her life will be held privately at the convenience of her family and friends.
