Dotty met her husband, Ronny, at a dance at the Town Hall in Hudson when she was 16 years old. She told her children that she and her girlfriends would take a bus on Friday nights from Maynard to Hudson to go to the dances. There she met Ronny, and they were together ever since. She also loved Elvis Presley and said that she got a babysitter one day when her children were small to go watch a new movie that he was in. After her children left home, she worked as a Home Health Aid to seniors in Hudson.
Dotty and Ronny were very involved with St. Michael’s Church as well as with the Hudson CYO Band when their children were members. She was very involved as a mother and chaperone for band competitions as well as exhibitions in Canada, Walt Disney World, the Mardi Gras in New Orleans and many trips for parades.
