Hudson, MA
Dorothy L. (Davidson) MacDonald, 81, a long time resident of Hudson, died on Friday, Jan. 4th at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Norman K. MacDonald who died in 1993.
Dorothy was born in Framingham, daughter of the late Carl and Dorothy (McCassey) Davidson. She was raised in Hopkinton where she attended local schools and was a graduate of Hopkinton High School. She later graduated from the Newton-Wellesley School of Nursing. Dorothy has been a resident of Hudson since 1955 and devoted her time to raising her children and caring for her home. She attended Grace Baptist Church in Hudson and was a member of the Prime Time Group at the church. She was a member of the Stow Historical Center, member of the Joy Group at Trinity Congregational Church in Bolton, member of the Hudson Senior Center, Council on Aging in Hudson and also was a volunteer at the polls in Hudson.
She is survived by her children, Lorraine Scott of Peoria, AZ, Nancy Burrows of Woburn, MA, Diane Pariseau of Edenton, NC, Peter MacDonald of Lancaster, MA and Paul MacDonald of Upton, MA. She is also survived by her sister, Myrtle Swanson of Westboro, MA; her brother, Ralph Davidson of Clinton, MA; her 12 loving grandchildren; her niece and many nephews.
A memorial service and celebration of Dorothy's life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 12th at 1:00 p.m. in the Grace Baptist Church, 353 River Road, Hudson. Burial services will be held at a later date in Lakeview Cemetery, Upton. There are no calling hours.
