Dorothy G. McConnell, 76, of Coral Springs, FL, formerly of Hudson, died on June 30th surrounded by her loving family at the home of her daughter. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Andrew W. McConnell of Coral Springs, FL.
Dorothy was born in Manhattan, NY and raised in Boston by her mother, the late Alberta (Boyd) Correia and her step-father, the late Francis Correia. She has resided in Florida the past 25 years with her husband Andrew and was a former manager at Roller Kingdom in Hudson. She was a manager at Mack's Groves in Ft. Lauderdale, FL until her retirement. Dorothy enjoyed playing bingo and going to the Casino in her spare time. She enjoyed spending time with her family friends and looked forward to their frequent visits.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her three daughters, Deborah A. McConnell of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Tammy A. Beaulieau and her husband Mark of Coral Springs, FL and Suzette McConnell-Young and her significant other Mark Dolan of Deerfield Beach, FL. She is also survived by her six loving grandchildren, James and Stephanie Drew, Chelsea, Austin and Chandler Beaulieau, Tyler Young and her two cherished dogs, Gizmo and Charlie.
A memorial service and celebration of Dorothy's life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 17th at 10:00 a.m. in the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. A calling hour will be held on Saturday, Aug. 17th from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
