Douglas P. Wiedeman, 56, of Berlin, MA, died Saturday, May 27, 2006 at his residence with his loving family by his side. He is survived by his wife of thirty four years, Patricia (Coughlan) Wiedeman.
Born in Oneonta, NY, he was the son of the late Richard Wiedeman who died in 2004 and is survived by his mother, Lena Chase of Lake George, NY.
He graduated from Oneonta H.S. in New York and later attended the Broome Technical School in Binghampton, NY and Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY receiving his Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. He was on the Deans list for academic excellence in both schools. He was currently employed by Mass Eye and Ear Infimary of Boston as a computer technician and formally worked for I.B.M., Raytheon and Digital Corporations. He previously served on the Saint Michael Parish School Advisory Committee and also taught in the CCD Program with the Parish. Douglas was an avid Disney World fan and enjoyed trips to its Florida theme park with his family.
Besides his wife and mother he is survived by his two daughters; Rebecca Heney and her husband Brian of Douglas, MA, Sarah Wiedeman of Watertown, MA and one son; Mathew Wiedeman of Berlin, MA. He is also survived by his two brothers; Richard Wiedeman and his wife Patricia of Marlboro, MA, Daniel Wiedeman and his wife Kathleen of Berlin, MA and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

His funeral will be held from the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home Inc, (www.tighehamilton.com)

50 Central St. Hudson, MA 01749 Thursday, June 1, 2006 with a funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Michaels Church 21 Manning street Hudson MA. Calling hours will be Wednesday, May 31, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M in the funeral home. Burial will be in Saint Michael Cemetery, Hudson.
