Edith P. (Bartolane) Campbell, 93 of Hudson, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 16, 2017, at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Northborough, MA, surrounded by her loving family, after a period of declining health. She joins her beloved husband of over sixty years, Wilfred D. Campbell, who passed away in March of 2005.

Edith a daughter of the late Ernest and Pauline (Mizzoni) Bartolane, was born and raised in Somerville, MA and graduated from high school in the class of 1942. Soon after graduation, Edith moved to Hudson and married the love of her life on December 2, 1943.

Edith was a devoted homemaker, who dedicated her life to caring for her family and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Edith was a longtime member of Saint Michael Church and the AMVETS Club in Hudson. Through the years, Edith enjoyed spending her summers in Wareham in their family home.

Edith is survived by her son, Wilfred P. Campbell, of Bolton; two daughters, Patricia M. Irwin and her husband Floyd of Hudson and Paula J. Setser and her husband James of Hudson; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law, CarolAnn Bartolane and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband and parents, Edith was also preceded in death by her brother, Ernie Batolone; her sister, Helen Memory and her daughter-in-law, Kathleen Campbell.

A calling hour will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am at the TIGHE HAMILTON REGIONAL FUNERAL HOME, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA. A funeral cortege will process to Saint Michael Cemetery in Hudson for interment at the conclusion of the services in the funeral home.
