Edmond J. Bourque, 94, of Hudson, died Sunday, Nov. 11th at Marlboro Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Madelyn (Desautels) Bourque for 45 years until her death in 1982.
Edmond was born in Worcester, son of the late Hercules and Alvine (Pettigrew) Bourque. He was raised in Hudson where he attended local schools and was a 1937 graduate of Hudson High School. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps until being honorably discharged in December, 1945. He was employed as an inspector with Digital Equipment Corp. in Maynard for many years until his retirement. He was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson and was a life member of the Hudson Lodge of Elks.
He is survived by his children, Dennis Bourque of La Canto, FL, Kathleen White of Sterling, Jeannie Bourque of Thornton, NH and Leeda Bourque of Hudson. He was predeceased by his son, Paul Bourque. He is also survived by his brother, Claude G. Bourque of Hudson; his sister, Madeline Thettford of Texas; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and his nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass which will be celebrated on Thursday, November 15th at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial services will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. There are no calling hours.
