Edmund “Rusty” A. Taylor, 68 of Hudson, passed away suddenly at home, on Monday, January 1, 2018.

Edmund, known by all as “Rusty” a lifelong resident was born in Hudson, MA the son of the late Alfred, Jr. and Marcia (Rand) Taylor. He graduated from Hudson High School in 68 and went on to serve his Nation in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Following his honorable discharge, he returned home to Hudson, where he worked for most of his life as a heavy equipment mechanic and operator for Cascelli Trucking in town, before eventually retiring. Rusty was a longtime member of the Hudson V.F.W. Post 1027 and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie 643. He also was an avid racing fan following NASCAR and he especially loved watching the Bruins.

Rusty leaves behind his two beloved daughters, Rebecca L. Sadowski and her husband Eric of Fitchburg and Tabitha E. Jennison and her husband Todd of Lunenburg who will remember him as a gentle father who always encouraged them to pursue their dreams; two siblings, Patricia Lynde of PA and Richard Taylor of Hudson and six grandchildren who were his pride and joy: Taylor, Matthew and Kayla Sadowski, Patrick and Sean Walsh and Gabriella Jennison. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by two brothers, George and Robert Taylor.

A Celebration of life for Rusty will be held at 1 pm on Sunday January 14, 2018 at the Hudson V.F.W. Post 1027, 3 Palmieri Dr., Hudson, MA 01749. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Rusty’s life. Burial will be private. TIGHE HAMILTON REGIONAL FUNERAL HOME is honored to be assisting with his arrangements.
