Eleanor M. (King) Connor, 72, of Clinton, former long time resident of Hudson died on Thursday, Oct. 15th at UMASS Memorial Healthcare, University Campus in Worcester from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She leaves her husband of 47 years, John Connor of Clinton.
Eleanor was born in Lynn, daughter of the late Thomas and Annie (Connelly) King and was a graduate of St. Mary's Catholic High School in Lynn. She was employed by Shaw's Supermarkets for over 20 years as a cash office clerk in Clinton and Shrewsbury until she retired to spend time with her family. She resided in Saugus from 1965 to 1975 before moving to Hudson where she resided until 2002. Eleanor and her husband John have resided at the Ridgefield Condominiums since 2002 where Eleanor became very active in the association's activities, often planning and organizing the many activities and functions with other residents which they all enjoyed. Eleanor will be remembered most of all for the love and caring spirit she brought to her children and grandchildren, she cherished the times she shared with her family. She was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson and was a Eucharistic Minister at the church for many years.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, Sean Connor of Pembroke, Martin Connor and his significant other Andreanna Foster of Dover, NH and Elizabeth Duncan and her husband Paul of Shrewsbury. She also leaves her six grandchildren, Kelly and Timothy Duncan, Julia, Robert and Molly Connor, Savanah Connor; her sister, Margaret Flaherty of Lynn, MA and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, Oct. 22nd at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 21st, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
