Elizabeth Rose "Betty" (Davidian) Caponi, 97, of Hudson, died peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 28th at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Northborough after a period of declining health. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Felix Caponi of Hudson.
Betty was born in Worcester, daughter of the late David and Rose (Kaprelian) Davidian. She was raised in Northborough where she attended local schools. She was employed for many years by the Lance Corp. in Hudson until her retirement. She was an active member and volunteer at the Hudson Senior Center and life member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary in Hudson. She was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.
Betty enjoyed playing cards and bingo in her spare time. She was an avid Red Sox Fan and enjoyed traveling throughout the states and Canada. She always cherished the trip she took with her husband Felix across the continental United States in their automobile.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her two sons, Paul Mandilian of New Jersey, Roland Cote of Pennsylvania; her daughter, Carol Kiley of Worcester and her brother, Kerop Davidian and his wife Arvilla of Northborough. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; her two twin great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother and three sisters.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Feb. 1st at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Friday, Jan. 31st from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Betty may be made to: Resident Activity Fund, C/O Beaumont at Northborough, 238 West Main Street, Northborough, MA 01532.
