Elizabeth J. (Lawson) Park, 86, of Hudson, formerly of Brooksville, Florida and Saugus, died Thursday, Oct. 28th at Marlborough Hospital. She was the wife of the late Thomas I. Park for 33 years before his death in 1975.
Elizabeth was born in Chicopee Falls, daughter of the late William J. and Jeanette (Whitten) Lawson. She has resided in Hudson the past year and a half and previously resided in Brooksville, Florida for 28 years. She was employed as a secretary for the Furman Lumber Co. in Boston until retiring in 1982. Elizabeth was very active in her community while residing in Florida. She was a member of the American Legion in Florida and also was a volunteer at the Brooksville Hospital. She enjoyed playing bingo and was an avid reader.
She is survived by her three children, Dave Park of Maynard, Janet Clark and her husband John of Sutton and Gary Park of Maynard. She also leaves her four grandchildren, Jennifer DaMotta of Rhode Island, Heather Clark of California and Ryan and Patrick Clark of Sutton.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, Nov. 1st at 7:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Monday, Nov. 1st from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial in Riverside Cemetery, Saugus will be held at the convenience of the family.
