Emil H. Brooks, 77, of Hudson, MA, died Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He leaves his wife of 54 years Betty (Muller) Brooks of Hudson.
He was born in Coventry, VT, son of the late Charles and Yvonne (LaMothe) Brooks.
He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the U.S. Army as a corporal. He married his wife in Erlangen, Germany in 1952 and they raised their children in Hudson, MA. He was a former employee of Instress Corp. in Hudson.
He is survived by his children, Barbara Dix and her husband Jon of Texas, Doreen Belmore of Hudson, MA, Kenneth Brooks of Hudson, MA, Michael Brooks and his wife Joanne of Marlborough, MA, James Brooks of California, Daniel Brooks and his fiancAC.e Julie Lussier of Auburn, MA, Glen Brooks and his wife Jaqueline of Wisconsin and Charles Brooks and his friend Shari Richardson of NH. He is also survived by his sisters, Julie Morel, Jeannette Matthews and her husband Roy, all of Hudson, MA, his brother in law Horst Muller and Dieter Muller both of Erlangen, Germany, 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was brother to the late Paul Brooks, Theresa Matthews and Cecile Miller.
His funeral will be held from the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. (www.tighehamilton.com.) 50 Central St. Hudson, MA 01749 with a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2007 in the funeral home. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2007 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial with Military Honors
will be in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson, MA.
