Erli (Pereira) DeSouza, 52, of Hudson, MA, passed away this morning, Thursday, October 18, 2012, in her home with her family after a two year battle with cancer. Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, to the late Francisca and Joao Pereira, she leaves behind her soul mate and husband of 27 amazing years, Alvandir (Al) DeSouza, and her two children, Patrick DeSouza (20) and Andressa DeSouza (25). She also leaves behind twelve brothers and sisters, four sister-in-laws, her mother and father-in-law, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A hardworking and dedicated employee, she gave ten, wonderful years to the Staples, Inc. legal department in Framingham, MA, where her co-workers and colleagues have become family. A lover of the outdoors and anything involving family, she lived for a day out in the sun surrounded by those who loved her most. She will always be remembered as the beautiful, charismatic, and irreplaceable woman, wife, and mother that we all knew her to be.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 26th at 9:00 a.m. at Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial services will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Thursday, October 25 th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
