Ethel M. Duggan, 94, of Hudson, died Wednesday, March 15, 2006, at Dyouville Manor in Lowell. She was the wife of the late James F. Duggan who died May 20, 1947. Born in Hudson, MA she was the daughter of the late William and Catherine (Lawlor) Coady. She was a graduate of Saint Michael's Academy in Hudson. She was employed by the W.T. Grant Department Store of Hudson before retiring and formally worked for the Lapointe Machine Co. of Hudson. She was a member of Saint Michael's Church and the Ladies Sodality of Saint Michael's Church.
She is survived by her son James t. Duggan and his wife Marcia of Shrewsbury, two daughters; Catherine and her husband Dr. James Ball of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Teresa Maher, wife of the late William Maher. She is also survived by her grandchildren Kelly Duggan Brunetti, Michael Duggan, Andrew Maher, Kathleen Maher, James Ball and Katherine Ball Bassick, three great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the sister of the late Evelyn Fitzpatrick, Mary Brecken, Rita Coady, Catherine Freitas, Teresa Coady Duggan and Sister Catherine Saint William, Order of Sisters of Notre Dame.
Her funeral will be held from the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home Inc., (www.tighehamilton.com) 50 Central St. Hudson, MA 01749 Monday, March 20, 2006 with a funeral mass at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michaels Church 21 Manning street Hudson MA. Calling hours will be Sunday, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Saint Michael Cemetery, Hudson.
