Fernanda L. (Rego) Brasil, 72, of Hudson, died on Friday, Jan. 16th at Marlborough Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Fernanda was born and raised in Santa Maria, the Azores of Portugal, daughter of the late Manuel and Angelina (Batista) Rego. She emigrated to Hudson in 1972 and was employed by the ACT Corp. in Hudson for many years.
Fernanda enjoyed taking frequent trips back to the Azores and most of all enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her four children, Elita Costa and her husband Jose of Hudson, Elisa Svendsen of Fall River, Reinaldo Sousa of Hudson and Nancy Costa of Hudson. She was the sister of the late Jose Rego. She is also survived by six grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, Jan. 19th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Sunday Jan 18th from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
