Filomena P. Chaves, 84, of Hudson, died on Thursday, June 9th at her residence in Hudson surrounded by her loving family.
Filomena was born in Santa Maria, the Azores of Portugal, daughter of the late Antonio and Antonia C. (Monteiro) Puim. She was raised and resided in Santa Maria until moving to Hudson 46 years ago. Filomena cherished her family, especially her many nieces and nephews she cared for throughout her life. She was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson and member of the Hudson Portuguese Club.
She is survived by her sister, Maria Andrade of Hudson and her many nieces, nephews and friends. She was the sister of the late Antonia, Antonio, Manuel, Jose, Maria P. and Maria.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 13th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, June 12th from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
