Florence R. (Pelleriti) DeMore, 94, of Belmont, Sebago, Maine and Gulfport, Florida, died Sunday, Sept. 11th at Saint Patrick's Manor in Framingham. She was the beloved wife of 65 years to the late Frank J. DeMore Sr. who died in 2006.
Florence was born in Boston, and raised in Belmont where she resided for most of her life. Daughter of the late Antonio and Jennie (Catanzaro) Pelleriti, Florence attended local schools in Belmont and was a retired seamstress working for several local companies. Florence and her husband Frank enjoyed spending their summers in Sebago, Maine and winters in Gulfport, Florida. She enjoyed square dancing, was an avid bowler and Bocce player and devoted fan of the Red Sox.
She is survived by her four children, Leah Guyton and her husband Donald of Hopedale, Andrew DeMore and his wife Grace of Stow, Barbara Sharkey and her husband Kevin of Marlboro and Frank J. DeMore Jr. and his wife Carol of Bedford, NH. She is also survived by her brother, Carmello Pelleriti of Winchester; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Leo Pelleriti of Watertown and Margaruite Ingenere of Roslindale.
Family and friends may gather at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 15th at Saint Isidore's Church, 429 Great Road, Stow for a funeral mass to be held at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Stow. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 14th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
