Hudson, MA
Frances S. (Spencer) Hansen, 70, of Hudson, died Wednesday, Aug. 12th at Marlboro Hospital. She was pre-deceased by her husband of 33 years, John P. Hansen in 1990.
Born in Hudson, daughter of the late Alfred and Henrietta (Barker) Spencer, Frances was a lifelong resident of Hudson and was most recently employed by Boyd's Coating of Hudson as a quality control inspector for over 10 years until retiring earlier this year. She was a 1957 graduate of Hudson High School and later attended Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester and Framingham State College where she received her Bachelors Degree. She was a member of the Hudson Amvets.
She is survived by her two children, John Hansen and his wife Christina of Las Vegas, Nevada, NikkiJai Hansen of Raymond, Maine; her three sisters, Mary Scerra, Grace Kuniewicz, both of Marlboro, Nancy Hale of Maynard; three grandchildren, Thomas Kerns of North Carolina, Philip Hansen of Oklahoma and John Atwood of Raymond, Maine. She is also survived by four Great Grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by her great grandson, Duncan Hansen along with her many siblings.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 18th at 11:00 a.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central St. Hudson, MA 01749. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Stow. Calling hours will be held on Monday, Aug. 17th, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
