Frances A. (Nicosia) Lively

Frances A. (Nicosia) Lively, 69, of Worcester, MA, formerly of Acton, MA and Somerville, MA died on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center, University Campus in Worcester, MA. She was the beloved wife of Clarence E. Lively who died in 2021.

Frances was born and raised in Somerville, MA, daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (McGloin) Nicosia. She graduated from Somerville High School. Following high school she immediately went to work for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company in Boston, MA. She spent many years with Liberty Mutual as a claims adjuster until her retirement.

Frances is survived by her 2 sisters, Carol Mendell and her husband David of Worcester, MA and Barbara Mullen and her husband Matthew of Bridgewater, MA. She also leaves her 2 nephews, Sean and Matt Mullen along with other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her sister Louise Nicosia.

Frances had many hobbies and interests, mostly shared with her husband Clarence. They both enjoyed attending fairs and festivals throughout the New England Region. They both always looked forward to attending the yearly “Game Suppers” held in Vermont. She loved animals and enjoyed the company of her many pets throughout the years including her pet cats and her loyal greyhound. Frances will always be remembered for her kind and loving spirit by all who loved and knew her.

Frances requested that her family gather privately for committal prayers at a graveside ceremony in Woodlawn Cemetery, Acton, MA. Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
