Frances C. (Chmura) Moran, 67, of Hudson, died Sunday, Aug. 30th at UMASS Medical Center in Worcester. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Martin J. Moran of Hudson.
Frances was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. She received her Bachelor's degree from St. John's College of Cleveland and her Master's degree from The Ohio State University. Frances moved to Hudson from Cleveland in 1972 and has resided here the past 37 years. Frances worked as a nurse for 28 years at Emerson Hospital in Concord until her retirement in June of 2008. She was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her four children, Barbara Moran and her husband Brian Collins of Brookline; Patricia Moran and her husband Andrew McIlvaine of Cambridge; Thomas Moran of Fairbanks, Alaska and Martin Moran of Fort Collins, Colorado. She is also survived by her sisters, Joyce Bouman and Joan Lobas; her brothers, Thaddeus Chmura and Gary Chmura, all of Cleveland, Ohio; her grandson, Finn Collins and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, Sept. 3rd at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 2nd, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, at 50 Central St. in Hudson.
