Francis J. "Mickey" McNally, 74, a lifelong resident of Hudson, died on Sunday, March 20th at his home surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his loving wife of 54 years, Janice D. (Lombardi) McNally of Hudson.

Mickey was born in Clinton, son of the late Francis and Ruth (Mills) McNally. He was raised in Hudson where he attended local schools. He was a Vietnam Era Veteran serving 6 years in the U.S. Army until being honorably discharged in 1966. He was a finish carpenter by trade and was employed by the Arcwood Corporation for many years in Hudson. He later worked for the Digital Equipment Corp. in Maynard and most recently worked for the Boy's and Girl's Club of Marlborough until his retirement. He was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson; Member of the Hudson V.F.W.; Golden member of the Hudson Eagle's and Lifetime Member of the Hudson Lodge of Elks.

Mickey was well known as a "Jack of all trades". He enjoyed tinkering with small engines and was always busy with projects in his workshop at home. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time. In his younger days he was a well known musician, playing the trumpet and trombone and also a vocalist in local bands including the Royal Pastel's. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family, especially later with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. His loving spirit and joyful personality will be remembered and cherished by all who loved and knew him.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Deborah Lapriore and her husband Peter, Karen Wood and her husband Kevin, Cheryl McNally and her Companion Mark Olson, Caroline Galipeau and her husband Norman, Tammie Houghton and her husband Richard, Michael McNally and his wife Charlene and Steven McNally and his wife Jessica. He is also survived by his two sisters, Denise Morin and her husband Paul, Patty Otvos; his 19 loving grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandson Michael Boisvert in 2014 and was the brother of the late Thomas McNally.

A funeral service and celebration of Mickey's life will be held on Thursday, March 24th at 11:00 a.m. in the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Burial services will be held privately in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson at a later date. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Wednesday, March 23rd from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
