Francis John Saari, 69, of Marlboro, died Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at Saint Vincent's Hospital in Worcester. He was the husband of Linda (Charbonneau) Saari. Born in Worcester, MA, son of the late Carl Y. and Agnes M. (Fleming) Saari. He was employed by the former Inland Express of Marlboro along with other transportation companys as a driver until his retirement. He served during Korean War in the United States Navy and later served with the Army National Guard of Massachusetts until he was Honorably discharged in 1994. He was a member of the Amvets, V.F.W. and American Legion. He was a former coach with the Marlboro Youth Hockey association..
Besides his wife he is survived by his two sons; Scott F. Saari and his wife Holly of Marlboro, Mark C. Saari and his wife Saralynn of Hudson, his sister Betty Grant of Hudson and his brother Donald Saari and his wife Dotty of Virginia. He is also survived by his grandchildren Fallon and Megan Saari and his former wife and close friend Beverly (Houghton) Saari.
Funeral services are being held at the convenience of the family. There will be a gathering of family and friends to celebrate his life and enjoy refreshments Saturday, February 25, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. at the Masonic Bldg. Heritage Hall, 208 Main St., Marlboro, MA (entrance is in the rear of the building).
