Francis J. "Jim" White Jr., 71, a lifelong resident of Marlborough, died on Saturday, Jan. 25th at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Marguerite A. (Mullen) White of Marlborough.
Jim was born in Marlborough, son of the late Francis J. White Sr. and Elaine (Fournier) White. He attended local schools and was a 1960 graduate of Marlborough High School. He joined the U.S. Navy after high school and served as a Veteran of the Vietnam War aboard the Nuclear Submarine U.S.S. Woodrow Wilson until being honorably discharged in 1969. He was employed by Bruker, AXS of Wisconsin as a computer technician for many years until retiring in 2005. Jim enjoyed riding his motorcycle and occasionally playing his guitar in his spare time.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his two daughters, Laura Perry and her husband Bill of Southbridge and Christine White of Marlboro. He is also survived by his two loving grandchildren, Benjamin and Leo Perry.
A funeral service and celebration of Jim's life will be held on Thursday, Jan. 30th at 7:00 p.m. in the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Burial services will be held privately at a later date. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, Jan. 30th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
