Francisco S. Chaves, 80, died Saturday December 18, 2004 at his home. Born in Santa Maria, Portugal son of Antonio Almada and Filomena (Sousa) Chaves. Husband of the late Maria (Pacheco) Chaves who died in 1984. Survived by his daughters Isaura and her husband Jose Godinho of Hudson, Noemia and her husband Antonio Braga of Hudson and his step daughter Odelia Braga of Hudson and the late step daughter Albertina Luz. Survived by his step son Miguel Figuerido of CA and the late Jose Pacheco. Survived by his brother Manuel Chaves of Wilmington. Brother of the late Joseph, Antonio, Joao Chaves. Survived by his grandchildren Nancy and her husband Manuel Nogueira, Diane and her husband Francisco Chaves, Christine and her husband David Monteiro, Gina and her husband Anthony Sutherland and Frank Godinho. Survived by his great grandchildren Amanda, Andrew, Celina, Mathew and Victoria and 14 step grandchildren. Francisco worked as a machine operator at Independence Cable in Hudson prior to retiring. He was a member of the Continental Union Society and Hudson Portuguese Club. He was a communicate of St. Michaels Church. His Funeral will be held Monday December 20, 2004 from the Tighe-Hamilton funeral Home 50 Central St. Hudson with a funeral Mass at 9Am at St. Michaels Church 21 Manning St. Hudson. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery. Visiting hours are Sunday from 5-9PM.
