Frank J. Dawicki passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, September 8, 2017. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 21 years Janice Dempsey.
Frank, a son of the late Walter and Stella (Olszewszka) Dawicki was born in Fall River where he was raised and graduated high school. He went on to earn a bachelor's degree in engineering and later worked for many years at Bytek in Westborough and Hewlett Packard before retiring in 2011.
Frank loved dogs, especially his two rescues, Abby and Luke and his granddog Atlas, the Great Dane. He also loved gardening and enjoyed spending time tending to the fruit trees in his yard. Frank had coffee in his veins and enjoyed having his cups throughout the day. Frank was a very practical man and appreciated living a simple life in the company of the ones he loved the most.
In addition to his beloved wife Janice Dempsey, Frank also leaves behind his stepdaughter Malikkah Gamble and her husband James of Marlborough, his granddaughter Alanna Gamble and his mother-in-law Eileen Dempsey. Frank was one of ten children and is also survived by five of his sisters, one brother and their families.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 4-7 pm at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA. A service will immediately follow at 6:00 pm. Burial will be private at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank's name may be made to Buddy Dog Humane Society 151 Boston Post Road, Sudbury, MA 017765.
