Frank A. Smith V, 22, of Clinton, MA, formerly of Northborough and Oxford, passed away tragically from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Thursday, January 3, 2019.
Frank was born in Worcester, MA, on May 17th, 1996. A son of Frank A. Smith IV and Lorraine M. Keefe. He was raised in Oxford, MA, where he spent much of his life and later moved to Northborough where he graduated from Algonquin Regional High School. After high school, Frank decided to follow the footsteps of both his father and grandfather in pursuing a career as a Machinist at Accu-Grind of New England in Oxford. Frank was a dedicated hard worker, who loved his job and had a passion for metal working.
Frank also loved sports especially baseball which he played in his youth while fiercely following the Boston Red Sox throughout his life. He was also an avid gamer and animal lover; especially to his beloved dogs. Frank will be remembered for not only his great sense of humor but also his brilliant imagination that captivated those who were in his reach.
Frank leaves behind many heartbroken survivors; his parents Frank A. Smith IV and Lorraine M. Keefe; his sister Makayla F. Gumpright; his grandparents, Frank A. Smith III and Nancy (Coppola) Smith and many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to TIGHE HAMILTON REGIONAL FUNERAL HOME, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2019 for a period of visitation. A Celebration of life will be held at the church at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 11, 2019, followed by a procession to Evergreen Cemetery in Marlborough, MA for committal.
