Frank J. Souza, 86, of Hudson, died Monday, April 12th at Marlborough Hospital. He leaves his wife of 61 years, Dina M. (Calvao) Souza of Hudson.
Frank was born in Plymouth, son of the late Manuel and Deolinda (Cavaco) Souza and was a lifelong resident of Hudson. Frank was a U.S. Army veteran, stationed in the Asiatic, Pacific Theatre during WWII. He worked as a material handler for General Motors in Framingham for 35 years until retiring in 1978. He was a member of the former Christ the King Parish in Hudson, member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson and a member of the Hudson V.F.W.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Frank J. Souza Jr. and his significant other, Kathy Devine of Hudson; his two grandchildren, Craig Souza of Lancaster, Tristen Ladden and her husband Patrick of West Boylston; his four great grandchildren, Cody, Tyler, Luke and Shane Ladden and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Manny and James Souza, Olive Mattei and step-brother of the late Edward Rocha.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 16th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 15th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the: Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Following the mass, a gathering to celebrate the life of Frank will be held at the Hamilton Hall, 48 Central Street, Hudson.(www.tighehamilton.com).
