Frederick G. Miller (1929 - 2013)
Fred Miller was a respected attorney, long-term public servant to the town of Hudson, musician, US Navy veteran and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was born in 1929 to Van E. Miller and Harriet Katsidhe in Berlin, MA, the younger brother of Everett E. Miller. After graduating from Hudson High School in 1947 he joined the US Navy and spent four years playing in the Navy Band. He graduated from Boston University in 1956 magna cum laude where he was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society, and from B.U. Law School in 1958. He married Joanne (Andracchio) in 1962 and returned to Hudson to start his law practice. He was a devoted father to Christine (Sullivan of Marlboro) and Julie (Miller of Redondo Beach) and a loving grandfather to Michael and Andrew Sullivan. He was a Hudson Selectman, served on the Board of Appeals and was Town Counsel for 15 years. He played in the Concord and Maynard Community Bands and enjoyed being a musician well into his 70s. He will be missed by all who had the good fortune to benefit from his guidance, humor and charm. A service will be held at the Tighe Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson, Wed, Feb 27 at 1:00p.m. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Tue, Feb 26 5-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Internment at Forest Vale Cemetery in Hudson.
