Gail Frances (Corcoran) Bassett

Gail Frances (Corcoran) Bassett, 81, of Marlborough, MA died on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband Richard J. Bassett in 1972 and her son Kenneth Bassett in 1995.

Gail was born and raised in Cambridge, MA, daughter of the late Henry and Grace (Lynch) Corcoran. She has resided in Marlborough for over 50 years and worked as a line cook at the former Learning Center in Marlborough until retiring.

Gail is survived by her daughter, Tiffany Mallard and husband Paul of Marlborough, MA and fondly referred to as nana by 5 grandchildren, Kevin Bassett, Nicholas, Brett, Elliot and Kelsey Mallard.

Gail truly led an amazing life. As a devoted mother she spent most of her life as a single mother raising her family and later assisting with the grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with family. In her spare time she looked forward to the afternoon television court programs such as “Judge Judy” and crocheting. She will always be remembered and cherished by those who loved and knew her.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at 11:00 AM in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, 70 Medford Street, Arlington, MA.
