George E. "Scrapper" Kerivan, 73, of Hudson, died on Monday, Oct. 10th at UMASS Memorial Healthcare, University Campus in Worcester from injuries he sustained from a motor vehicle accident. He leaves his wife of 36 years, Ann M. (Johnson) Kerivan of Hudson.
George was born and raised in Newton, son of the late A. Paul and Alice E. (Faulkner) Kerivan. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Newton High School. George was employed as a manager for the Raytheon Company in Waltham for 37 years until retiring in 1993. He was currently employed as a delivery driver for Papa Gino's restaurant in Marlboro for the past 10 plus years.
George resided in Waltham for a short time before moving to Hudson in 1978. He was very active in youth sports. He spent his spare time as a volunteer coach with the Hudson Youth Baseball, Basketball and Soccer programs. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriot's fan.
Besides his wife he is survived by his two sons, Christopher G. Kerivan of Hudson and Shawn E. Kerivan of Hudson. He is also survived by his two granddaughters, Alexandra and Sydney Kerivan; several nieces and nephews and many friends. He was the brother of the late Paul A. Kerivan.
George's wishes were for family and friends to gather for a celebration of his life, which will be held on Sunday, Oct. 16th from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. at the Riverside Gun Club, 16 Wilkins Street, Hudson, MA.
