He began his professional career at Lincoln Labs and soon found a position at Digital Equipment Corporation as a Design Engineer and went on to manage a Computer Aided Design (CAD) Department. He continued working in various positions at Prime Computer and Computervision.

George and Kareen raised David and Marc in Hudson and Marlborough, MA, and spent summers down the Cape in Wareham, MA. They developed many life-long friends and memories while enjoying numerous years traveling in Europe, Asia, South Africa, and vacationing in the Caribbean.

George will be remembered for his kindness, devotion for giving of himself to family, friends, and neighbors and for his enjoyment of making people laugh with his jokes.

He was an avid guitarist and banjo player who played in the Calamity Jazz Band, famous for their appearances at restaurants with limited seating and small backyard barbeques. George also was a pilot who loved flying his Cessna, driving his boat, and fishing in local rivers and streams as well as saltwater fishing on the Cape. When George was not enjoying the great outdoors, he could be found in his woodworking shop at home.
