Gerald T. Magistri, 72, of Hudson, died Sunday, May 20th at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation in Marlboro. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sherry (Pacia) Magistri of Hudson.
Jerry was born in Springfield and raised in Agawam, son of the late Virginio and Joanna (Picchi) Magistri. He attended local schools and received his Bachelor's Degree in Management from Northeastern University. He has resided in Hudson since 1965 after moving from Roslindale where he spent several years. He was a long time Operations Manager in the Electronics field until retiring in 1997. Jerry enjoyed golfing in his spare time and was a member of the Hudson Lodge of Elks and member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his two children, Mary Welsh and her husband Craig and Gerald M. Magistri and his wife Wendy, all of Connecticut. He is also survived by his sister, Joan Pierce and her husband David of California; his five loving grandchildren and his niece and nephew.
Family and friends may attend a calling hour on Wednesday, May 23rd from 8:00 to 8:45 a.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 followed by a funeral mass on Wednesday, May 23rd at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson, MA. Committal services will be held at the convenience of the family.
