Gerard P. "Gerry" Laviano, 78, of Hudson, died Thursday, May 8 at Marlboro Hospital.
Mr. Laviano was born in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Thomas and Minnie (Angelo) Laviano. He was raised in Belmont attending local schools and graduated from Belmont H.S. He later attended Boston College earning his bachelors degree. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the Marine Corps. He resided in Hudson most of his life and was a retired sales manager for the former Armstrong Co. for 25 years. He was a former Chairman of the Hudson School Committee.
He is survived by his 2 sons, Gerard S. Laviano of Hudson and Michael Laviano of San Francisco, CA. He also leaves his brother, Thomas Laviano of Rhode Island; his sister, Marie McManus of California; his 2 grandchildren, Nicholas and Leah Laviano of Mississippi and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, May 13, at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning St. Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held Monday, May 12 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home Inc. 50 Central St. Hudson, MA 01749.
