Gloria (Blackmar) Ordway, 84, passed away in the presence of her loving family on Saturday, December 17, 2016.
She was born in New York City, the daughter of Winifred and Marion (Connington) Blackmar and had lived most of her life in Marlborough. Gloria worked at Design Pak Manufacturing Company for thirty-five years retiring in 1994. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church and enjoyed cooking, traveling to Cape Cod, Plymouth and the White Mountains in New Hampshire, and loved to spend time with her family and her beloved pets.
She leaves her loving husband of 67 years, Perley L. Ordway, Jr.; her son, Perley L. Ordway, III and daughter-in-law, Lydia of West Townsend, MA. Her son, Francis P. Ordway, predeceased her too soon in 1970.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 22, from 5 - 7 p.m. in the Tighe Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson. Funeral services for Mrs. Ordway will be held from the funeral home on Friday, December 23, with a 9:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect Street, Marlborough, MA. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Joseph's Indian School, P.O. Box 326, Chamberlain, South Dakota 57326.
