Hudson, MA
H. Raymond (Ray) Kimmens passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 3, at the Oak Knoll Rehabilitation Center in Framingham MA. Born in Hudson to Harold and Lucy Kimmens he lived with his wife of 61 years, Shirley Kimmens in Hudson until their retirement to Bradenton, Florida.
Ray served proudly in the US Navy where he began a lifelong career working with computers. He worked for some of the leading technology companies in the New England area including Raytheon, Data General and EMC Corporation from where he retired in 1994.
Ray is survived by his wife Shirley; children, Douglas Kimmens (Michele), Cheryl K. Franke (Arthur), and Sheila Kimmens. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Christine (David), and Veronica Kimmens, Benjamin Davis, and Daniel and L. Fox Franke; his great grandchildren, Myla and Rylie Makai as well as his brother-in-law, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Burial will be private in the Old Main Street Cemetery in Hudson MA, followed by a public Memorial Service at St. Elizabeth's Church, One Morse Road, Sudbury, MA on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 11:00 am with all friends and family invited. Donations in Ray's memory can be made to South Middlesex Opportunity Council, 7 Bishop Street, Framingham, MA 01702, for the benefit of the Marlborough Homeless Shelter. Arrangements are under the care of the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson
