Hanson J. Hedderig 91 passed away Sunday May 22, 2022. Originally from Natick Ma. He resided in Hudson Ma. for 63 years. Known by most as “Boots”, He went to Natick High School where he played on the football team that went undefeated all four years he played. He also was an outstanding Track and Field athlete who ran hurdles and the 100 meter sprint. He was a builder by trade working on both the Stratton Hill housing project and the Lakeview housing project for AJ Lane Construction. After retiring he loved to follow all the Boston pro sports teams, spending time with family and friends and could talk for hours about past experiences and the fun they would have. He loved spending time with his grandchildren Cara and Cameron as well over Breakfast or lunch dates. He was also very much a dog lover and loved spending time with his dogs over the years.
He was the husband to the late Patricia M Hedderig and leaves three Children. Chris Hedderig and his wife Tammy of Marlboro, Pam Hedderig of Worcester, and Jeff Hedderig of Marlboro. Two Grand Children Cara Anne Cassidy and her husband Steven of Maynard and Cameron Michael Hedderig of Marlboro. Four Great Grand Children Callum Ryder Cassidy, Lincoln Reis Cassidy, Farren Ainne’ Cassidy and Aspen Rae Cassidy. He leaves several nieces and nephews who he loved very much. He was predeceased by his father and mother Hanson and Christine Hedderig and leaves a brother John Hedderig of Natick.
At his request, there will be a private family only burial at Forest Vale Cemetery in Hudson. Date to be determined. Funeral services are under the care of Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
